Knefe needs no introduction, however if you are unfamiliar with it, it is a typical Arabic dessert made across the Arab countries with a slide variation from each country. It is a cheesy dessert, with a baked crust, usually made with knefe dough known as Farek. It is best served warm, drenched in sugar syrup, and served in a kaake.
This syrup also known as Ater is used on basically every middle eastern dessert recipe. As if the sugar content in most sweets isn’t enough, we need to add more. But it just makes it THAT much better.
Just in time for Spring! This carrot cake requires basic ingredients that we all have at home! It’s not too sweet and the tahini in the frosting adds a super nice kick to it.

Some notes before you start, you need to whip the egg whites really well. It is essential to get that airy yet moist texture. Also, don’t use fancy vanilla extract. The vanilla sugar is what you want here.
And please, use fresh oranges and not boxed.
