First attempt at Bolognese

April 9, 2016

Who doesn’t LOVE a good, homey bolognese?!

Who doesn’t love pasta in general!

I kind of promised myself today that I won’t cook anything because lately, that’s all i’ve been doing…

Major fail.

Got back home, went straight to the kitchen to make my very first spaghetti bolognese.

For my first time, i decided to surf the web for a real bolognese recipe. I found one on BBC Good Food that looked delicious. I usually start off by read the ingredients to make sure it doesn’t require items that aren’t in my pantry, and then i go over how it’s made so i don’t end up making an advanced recipe.

Everything went perfectly smooth, except for the fact that i was STARVING, and the aromas coming out of the pot while it was simmering definitely did not help!

As always, i added an extra splash of wine, actually more than an extra, but who is measuring anyways?!

When it was still simmering, i boiled some pasta, and grated my parmesan.

Once done, i plated my food and ate it in less than 5 minutes, that is how hungry i was!

Next time, i would go easy on the red wine as it really did overpower with it’s taste, and i would add more fresh tomatoes to make it saucier.
