I haven’t written a blog post in SO LONG 🙁
Sorry about that, but i have been sooooo preoccupied with so many things that at the end of the day i just want to eat the cake, and not write how it’s made.
But, as i promised so many of you, i will finally give you the recipe for what i consider is THE ULTIMATE white cake! ( NO JOKE)
This cake is perfect for using in a bundt, for making a layered cake, for eating in abundance, and for basically just admiring.
Hola! I’ve been chaotically busy this month, so i kind of slacked on writing a new blog post…
So many exciting things have been happening with Mrs.Clueless and I am so very thankful for everyone’s constant love and support! Not only has my knowledge in the kitchen improved, but I get to meet amazing people everyday that share the same passion that i have.
So, to get to the point here. WHO DOES NOT LOVE DOUGHNUTS?
Well, me. I hate fried doughnuts, they always make me feel sick to my stomach. Also, I failed at making fried doughnuts once because i have no patience whatsoever. So i decided to venture into making baked ones.
I can’t describe how good they taste, and how light and fluffy they are!
Scroll down for the recipe!
Pictures at the bottom…
When planning a Thanksgiving dinner, do NOT miss out on including a pecan pie.
I’ve had many pecan pies before but i had never actually made one of my own. And since this year i’ve been doing a lot of “first timers”, why not!
After researching a few recipes online, and figuring out who sells corn syrup in Beirut, i finally decided to try out Sally’s Baking Addiction’s Recipe. It really is such a simple recipe and tastes just like the one I used to have.
The crust of this pie is another story. Made with butter and shortening, this crust is buttery, flakey, and has the exact texture you would imagine a pecan pie to have.
I feel like I haven’t been able to post as much as I would like to this past week! For starts, my furniture is slowly arriving (6 months later) and I finally get to open all my things that have been sitting upstairs in boxes since June.
Also, so many exciting things are happening in regards to my blog which I will be able to share with you when the right time comes!
Now to get to the serious stuff, and that is this chocolate tahini cake, which I recently discovered and instantly fell in love with. It is so rich and decadent, its insane! Inspired by Molly Yeh’s recipe, check out this FABULOUS recipe below!
Sorry I haven’t been posting much here but I have been SO BUSY with Mrs.Clueless, which is an amazing thing of course!
Yesterday I woke up feeling a bit under the weather so I decided to stay at home. Of course, I can not sit and do nothing so I ventured into giving a lemon poppy seed cake a try!
I adapted the recipe from The Cake Blog and shifted it around a bit!
Lebanon’s summer comes with excess heat and humidity, and the fact that i ate the equivalent of my weight in NYC means I can’t just cool off with ice cream all the time :/
So, i decided to make my own popsicles! I substituted the sugar with honey but for a yummier taste just go for the sugar!
I think you all have come to the conclusion that I am OBSESSED with lemons. Lemons in my salad, my chicken, my fries, my fish, even in my dishwashing soap. Can’t live without my lemons.
So last night, i decided to make a final cake in the kitchen before it is completely renovated this week! ( Currently an owner of an empty kitchen)
I wasn’t really feeling anything with cream or chocolate so i went for a lemon cake!
FINALLY on my blog again! Sorry for disappearing for two weeks but i was moving houses.
I’m finally settled into my new house and i am LOVING it!
I’m sharing with you today after lots of requests, my three layered chocolate cake recipe!
I am obsessed with persian food and everything persian. I’ve literally read every book written about their culture. Also, one of my best friends is half persian so I constantly have the best persian food for lunch!
I got bored making basic chocolate chip cookies, i mean, enough. Got inspired from the dried rose buds that i have in my kitchen to make these OUTSTANDING cookies. I mean, i cannot even explain how yummy these are. They are perfect for anytime of the day, with your coffee, your afternoon tea, or for breakfast 😀
Growing up, my mom wasn’t one of those moms that stayed in the kitchen and cooked, per say. Not that i minded, on the contrary i wouldn’t want my mom any other way. Point is, she knew how to make one dish really well, and that dish is beef stroganoff. Say these two words in front of my dad today and he will definitely faint from all those times he had to eat this dish.
