Sorry about that, but i have been sooooo preoccupied with so many things that at the end of the day i just want to eat the cake, and not write how it’s made.
But, as i promised so many of you, i will finally give you the recipe for what i consider is THE ULTIMATE white cake! ( NO JOKE)
This cake is perfect for using in a bundt, for making a layered cake, for eating in abundance, and for basically just admiring.
Hola! I’ve been chaotically busy this month, so i kind of slacked on writing a new blog post…
So many exciting things have been happening with Mrs.Clueless and I am so very thankful for everyone’s constant love and support! Not only has my knowledge in the kitchen improved, but I get to meet amazing people everyday that share the same passion that i have.
So, to get to the point here. WHO DOES NOT LOVE DOUGHNUTS?
Well, me. I hate fried doughnuts, they always make me feel sick to my stomach. Also, I failed at making fried doughnuts once because i have no patience whatsoever. So i decided to venture into making baked ones.
I can’t describe how good they taste, and how light and fluffy they are!

Thanksgiving is in exactly 2 weeks , and if you don’t celebrate it (like everyone in Lebanon, because its an American holiday), well, you should, because you are MISSING OUT ON GOOD FOOD.

So, I had a bunch of Pecans, and I couldn’t find any corn syrup (not easily available in Beirut) to make my first Pecan pie. Off to the internet and there it was, a beautiful chocolate chip pecan cookie. It looked SO GOOD.

I feel like I haven’t been able to post as much as I would like to this past week! For starts, my furniture is slowly arriving (6 months later) and I finally get to open all my things that have been sitting upstairs in boxes since June.

Yesterday I woke up feeling a bit under the weather so I decided to stay at home. Of course, I can not sit and do nothing so I ventured into giving a lemon poppy seed cake a try!
I adapted the recipe from The Cake Blog and shifted it around a bit!
Lebanon’s summer comes with excess heat and humidity, and the fact that i ate the equivalent of my weight in NYC means I can’t just cool off with ice cream all the time :/
So, i decided to make my own popsicles! I substituted the sugar with honey but for a yummier taste just go for the sugar!

Yesterday, my husband requested a cheesecake. I have to admit i panicked for a second, but then i realised how far i’ve gotten in the kitchen and it gave me a boost of confidence to go for a second try!
Yes i know everyone is obsessed with Nutella. But this cupcake goes beyond everyone’s addiction. This cupcake is LIFE.
